The new Miss America was crowned last night and the winner is....Savvy Shields. Running on the platform "Eat better, live better," she was the one to ultimately win over the judges. There's a great article on some of her interests onPeople.com. Apparently she wants to be a background dancer for Beyonce. Who wouldn't want that gig?! Well Miss Savvy, I'd say that after winning Miss America, your odds of having that dream come true have increased 1000 %.
We learned from the People article that Savvy's a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Isn't this a lovely photo that she shared on Instagram of her and her sorority sisters below? Those smiles are contagious.
Seems that Savvy is quite talented and very artistic...not only does she dance, she's also an artist. Flip through her Instagram feed and you'll find some of her artwork.
If you watched the show last night, how did you like Savvy's evening gown? The black silhouette gown complimented her figure. In comparison to some of the other gowns, hers was very simple and minimalist. But that's just what we like...classy. It's hard to tell from looking at pictures but our guess is that the fabric was probably quite plush, to compensate for the lack of flash (bling). Regardless, looks like Savvy will be sitting pretty (no pun intended) for quite a while .
