Since we used fabric scraps, we first had to cut out the pattern to measure and make sure we had fabric scraps that were the right size to fit the pattern. We also considered coordinating fabric patterns and colors. These two factors made it a bit challenging to find a perfect fit. In the end, we ended up going with a maroon textured fabric that already has a ruffle on the hem. We'll use this for Raggedy Ann's skirt or apron. Hopefully it will make it a bit more cute and girly than how it appears on the pattern cover. We chose a flower print cotton fabric that coordinates with the maroon fabric to use for the dress. Not quite sure how the pants fit into the equation yet but we chose a navy blue pin stripe fabric for those.
