If you live in Southern California, chances are you've heard of or attended red carpet events. Today, we're excited to announce this new series on Red Carpet Designers, where we spotlight some of our favorite designers. First on the list? Michael Kors. He's featured on the Labor Day Issue of Hamptons magazine.

If you've been putting off learning how to create patterns, procrastinate no longer. This week's Video Of The Week shows you how to get started, and it's quick and easy. It's a two part video, so be sure to watch both parts to make a complete bodice. Consider this your Pattern Making 101 and call it done!
Have you been watching the 2016 Olympics? We're in awe of the beautiful, sparkly leotards that gymnast Simone Biles and the rest of the women's gymnastic team wears. If you have a teen in gymnastics, we encourage you to try to recreate the leotards so your teen can spring into practice feeling shiny and new. We can start you off by pointing you towards the right fabric store. Though we've never been, Britex Fabrics asserts that they have a wide assortment of sparkly lycra fabric suitable for a project of this type.
If you weren't able to travel to the Cannes Film Festival, don't worry, neither were we. We happened to catch the beautiful Blake Lively on Live! With Kelly one morning, promoting the film Cafe Society. According to a Hollywood Reporter article, costume designer Suzy Benzinger used Chanel to make custom costumes for the actors/actresses. We love the soft white dress that actress Kristen Stewart wore in the film. The textured look gives a unique appeal, and we love the slits on the shoulder tied with a bow. It gives a detailed look with a hint of sexiness.
