As mentioned in our previous post, we'll be taking a closer look at the nominees in the costume design categories for the 2017 Emmy Awards. This year, there are a whopping 3 categories for costume design. Outstanding Period/Fantasy Costumes For A Series (Limited Series Or Movie), Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Series (Limited Series Or Movie), and Outstanding Costumes For Variety, Nonfiction Or Reality Programming. We like that categorization because it breaks costume design into sub categories as opposed to lumping them all together. Besides, who would compare an Elizabethan gown from The Crown with the trendy/urban looks from Empire?
