In this video, she shows you how to step up your skirt game by sewing pockets into your skirt. We haven't tried this one yet, so if you beat us to it, tell us below. Cris-Croched: Easy Crochet Cowl

Browsing through the Craftsy crocheting blog, I came across a free cowl crochet pattern from Posh Patterns. The intro stated that it is an easy, quick work up. Now that was right up my alley so I decided to Cris-Croche it. After finishing , I can agree that it is extremely easy since the only stitch used is a half double crochet. This is what makes it quick to complete. The pattern was very easy to follow so if you're a beginner it's perfect for you.

Cris-Croched: The Circle Skirt

While surfing the web, we came across a wonderful YouTube video from Dana at Madeeveryday.com and instantly fell in love with her bubbly personality. Upon further investigation, we found a lovely detailed tutorial on how to sew a circle skirt. So we decided to give it a try and Cris-Croche it out . The tutorial was very easy to follow and the pattern is easy enough for the beginning sewer to complete. In fact it was such a quick work up that we made 4. There are two versions of the skirt, a single layer and a double layer. We made both versions. However, because of the busy print on the fabric we used, it's hard to tell in the photos.

Prom season has come and gone and we weren't able to finish our Prom projects. So we're transferring them to Graduation season! We'll be using the fabrics we planned to use for Prom to create a dress suitable for a graduation party. It's a basic dress, made from a circle skirt and sweetheart top. Stay tuned for our Graduation series, to help you choose or make the perfect Graduation dress for yourself or your teen.
