For the past few posts, we've been doing a series on Prom 2016. The posts were related to finding smart economical ways to create, find, and choose 2016 Prom dresses. First, we challenged you to sew your dress or a dress for a teenager in need of one. Then we shared April's video on how to upcycle a dress from your local thrift store. Now we're helping you choose a color. Go Red For Women educates people about the risks and prevention of heart disease and stroke. Wearing red is a symbol of supporting this cause, so when you take up our challenge to sew your Prom dress, we suggest choosing a beautiful red fabric to take a stand with women everywhere. ![]() ![]() ![]()

This dress is made with the Empire waist, a few tucks in the bodice, some puffed upper sleeves and is usually fastened with a nice ribbon according to the regency styles.
