We plan to make tweaks to the pattern, and perfect the design. Then recreate the dress again with better materials in the future. More importantly, we'd like to know if you created one. Share it with us and let us know how it turned out!
Today is the day. We have finally completed our Little Black Dress Challenge. As you may know, it's been a while since we first announced our Little Black Dress Challenge. If you're searching for that perfect LBD staple for your wardrobe, you could try Guess' Pia Criss Cross dress, and accessorize it with their G Lux Zip Around Wristlet , or another accessory like the Flexi Criss Cross bracelet. OR...you can do like we did and accept our challenge to sew one. We were a little disappointed with the results but excited to have completed it nonetheless. Making it was quite challenging in itself because it's all made from used clothes. What made it difficult was having to sew pieces together in order to make the fabric long/wide enough to fit the pattern we created. This resulted in long hours and ugly seams in places where they shouldn't be. For the pleated front skirt, we ended up using a sheer fabric which was not really suitable for our design but it was all that we had.
We plan to make tweaks to the pattern, and perfect the design. Then recreate the dress again with better materials in the future. More importantly, we'd like to know if you created one. Share it with us and let us know how it turned out! ![]() ![]() ![]()
