The 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place on Monday December 5th. Did you catch it? Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga gave powerful performances, and we LOVED the lace flower, floor length dress that Lady Gaga wore. But Bruno Mars stole the show, performing with his band, flaunting a chocolate brown fur coat. Today however, we're showing you how you can recreate the top 4 looks from the after-party.
1. Lady Gaga's Racy Lace
First up, powerhouse Lady Gaga. She wore a long lace Azzedine Alaïa Haute Couture A/W dress. The one pictured below on the far left. You can recreate a similar look with a pattern from Simplicity. Just use a lace material fromJoAnn or try anEtsy shop that sells lace fabrics wholesale if you plan to make quite a few.
2. Heads Flip With Kendall Jenner In A Slip
Next up, Kendall Jenner. She wore a polyester Bowery Slip Dress by Camilla and Marc. The dress is not available for purchase yet but it runs about $550.00, based on an online chat with Camilla and Marc customer service. If you'd like to recreate this style, consider purchasing this Burda Style slip dress pattern. Choose a sleek, shimmery fabric, get creative and add a slit. You'll achieve Kendall's look at a fraction of the price.
3. Brooke Perry Takes A Plunge
Another one of our top looks came from model Brooke Perry. The green velvet Marc Bower dress showed flirtatiousness with it's deep plunging neckline and peek-a-boo shoulders. To achieve this look, try Vogue Patterns' Badgley Mischka pattern. Again, you'll need to use your creativity to add the plunging neckline and peek-a-boo shoulders.
4. Sara Sampaio's Good Deed...Everything Beads
Last but not least, model Sara Sampaio wore a long sleeved basic party dress by Zuhair Murad. The exquisitely beaded detail made it not just your average party dress. Mimi G has a Simplicity pattern that can help you recreate the look. A quick google search for "beaded fabric by the yard" is a good start to find similar material to use.
So now that we've given you a head start, choose one of these looks to recreate. Don't forget to share your reuslts with us in the comments. Follow us on Pinterest to see more styles from the after party.
